Understanding the HUD

The Heads-Up Display (HUD) in Starfall Chronicles is your essential interface for navigating the galaxy, battling foes, and managing your inventory. This guide will help you understand the different elements of the HUD, so you can focus on your adventures in the sci-fi universe.

Health Bar

Your health bar is located at the top left corner of the screen. It indicates your current health status with a green bar, which depletes as you take damage from enemies. Additionally, when your health falls below 30%, the bar changes color to yellow, and below 10%, it turns red, signaling that you need to take immediate action to heal.

Minimap

The minimap is displayed in the upper right corner of the HUD. It shows your current location in the game world and highlights nearby points of interest, including NPCs, quest markers, and resources. You can toggle the minimap size and enable or disable various layers depending on your preferences in the settings panel.

Inventory

Your inventory can be accessed by pressing the I key. It showcases all the items you've collected throughout your journey, including weapons, armor, consumables, and crafting materials. The inventory is divided into categories for easy navigation. You can also equip or use items directly from this screen.

Quest Tracker

The quest tracker is located on the left side of the screen, displaying your active quests and objectives. Each quest is listed with a description of the current task and a progress bar indicating how much of it you've completed. Completing quests rewards you with experience points and valuable items.

• Completed Quests: Displays quests you've finished.
• Quest Rewards: Lists rewards you’ll receive upon completion.

Chat System

The chat system allows you to communicate with other players in real-time. You can send messages to your friends or the entire party. The chat window appears at the bottom of the screen and supports different channels, including local chat, party chat, and global announcements. Press Enter to start typing your message.

Interacting with the HUD

Each element of the HUD can be customized according to your preferences. You can adjust transparency, reposition elements, and choose what information is displayed. To access these settings, navigate to the settings panel from the main menu.
